A green soul like our basil

For years we have been using advanced cultivation techniques to limit our impact on the land. We were the first in Italy to adopt electric weeding to reduce the need for treatments. We also carry out targeted fertilization, preferring crop rotation for proper nourishment of our soils.

As an agriculture-related enterprise, we know that we have the most precious asset: the earth. With our choices we want to actively participate in the transition to a sustainable development model. Nature, food, life are part of a single system where everything is interrelated and where even the earth represents a living being to be given the utmost respect.

Environment, circular economy

Naturello is committed to implementing a circular economy model both by limiting waste and refuse and by feeding it back into the production cycle.

Energy saving and sustainable sources

35% of the energy used comes from renewable sources. The new 1,080 kW photovoltaic plant is in operation, to which another 700 kW will soon be added.

Sustainable agriculture and biodiversity

We implement careful water management, practice crop rotation and strive to preserve biodiversity.

We don't waste a single drop

Water is a fundamental asset for a company like Naturello. For this reason, in washing the raw materials used to make our products, we irrigate while minimizing waste, thanks to the use of pivots and low-pressure sprinklers.

Commitment to a carbon neutral future

We have embarked on a carbon neutrality journey aimed at reducing and offsetting CO2 emissions from our business activities. To do this, we are increasing clean energy production, working on reducing dependence on LPG, and planning to use geothermal energy.

Sustainability Report

In 2022, Naturello decided to structure a systemic sustainability journey through the drafting of a Strategic Sustainability Plan, the definition of a decarbonization plan, and through the drafting and publication of the first Sustainability Report, in order to give evidence of its efforts as well as the achievements it has achieved in recent years.
